RK Mathur becomes the first L-G of UT Ladakh

Radha Krishna Mathur was confirmed as the lieutenant legislative leader of Ladakh on Thursday morning, hours after Jammu and Kashmir stopped to be a state and was bifurcated into two association regions of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Mathur, the main L-G of the association region of Ladakh, was regulated the promise of office by Geeta Mittal, the central equity of Jammu and Kashmir high court , in Leh.

In another improvement, the Center on Wednesday night named Umang Narula as counsel to Mathur and furthermore posted SS Khandare as ‘Head of Police’ in Ladakh.

The status of Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir was changed by the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act 2019, presented by Union home pastor Amit Shah in Parliament on August 5 and later passed by both the Houses.

Ladakh will be an UT without governing body like Chandigarh. It will have two slope advancement committees.

The UT of Jammu and Kashmir, then again, will have a council like Puducherry with a chosen administrative get together and a main clergyman.

GC Murmu will be the lieutenant legislative head of Jammu and Kashmir. He, as well, will be confirmed by boss equity of the Jammu and Kashmir HC  in a function at the Raj Bhavan later on Thursday.
